&lt;p&gt;Paid Vacation in your hometown? Very tempting.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Apart from that, I&#039;m thinking about consulting being a good way to bootstrap your business. One of the things I&#039;ve learnt is how important the client is to the success of your company - making a feedback loop with the customer and having their input is key. Consulting can teach you something here.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;They are notorious for the things they do in the US to non-US citizens that work for them. I do not know how it is in Canada (if you plan to work there), but I&#039;ve heard horror stories from friends who have told me some pretty scary things.&lt;/p&gt;
